About Tomizo Ramen
Hokkaido Style Ramen
Located at 1721 W Redondo Beach Blvd, Gardena, CA 90247, Tomizo Ramen operates as a ramen serving Gardena in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Gardena, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Gardena is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Gardena is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The food was delicious, however, the customer service was subpar. When asked for recommendations, the server mentioned the kitchen would be closing in 30 minutes, which created a sense of urgency in our order. Additionally, when we requested the egg to be cooked a bit longer, she replied that it wasn't possible. There was also confusion regarding the fried rice, as we were under the impression it was included with our order, only to be informed later that it was not. Notably, the server's demeanor seemed to differ when interacting with adjacent patrons, to whom she was courteous and attentive. Overall, the experience with her was disappointing, and it's unclear whether the poor service was due to a bad shift or other factor

The one star is for the Shoyu Ramen. Boy the shoyu ramen was so salty. I drank so much water and I still feeling thirsty after coming home. The noodle hardness was good but wish it was not as salty. The place was super small. Parking is also small better to just park at Tozai plaza and walk over if you want to try.

My friend and I ate here for dinner on a not-so-typical Tuesday night. We were immediately seated and chose the bar area as we arrived at 7:30pm. The restaurant's ambiance is certainly cozy and modern. I ordered a non-spicy Miso Ramen while my friend opted for Miso Butter Ramen with corn and chili oil. Our orders were ready within 10 minutes and the lady behind the bar was very accommodating. She was kind enough to take a few pictures for us. The ramen bowls were truly appetizing and instagram worthy. The ramen noodles were freshly cooked, the vegetables were crisp while the pork slices were absolutely tender. At first, I thought I needed more broth, but it definitely had a perfect umami taste and realized the portions were just right. It legitimately tasted like the ramen I had in Japan a few years ago. On another note, I truly dig their decorations and dedication to Shohei Ohtani, our legendary Dodger! Thanks to my friend and wonderful experience here, Tomizo Ramen will now be my go-to restaurant for authentic ramen in the South Bay!

Great food. Had seen this a few times and finally tried it. The place can host no more than 25 people. It has bar style seating as well as tables. Food has a great taste and quantity was more than expected. Fried rice was a large portion despite ordering the small size. Really nothing to complain about, the only thing is that they do not sell alcohol up this post.

WOW! This place is fantastic. I had saved it awhile ago and then found myself in Gardena last night and hungry. Luckily, at 8:30pm it was not that crowded and we got seats at the bar right away. We both ordered the tsukemen ramen and waiting in the cozy environment of the restaurant. Once it came, it looked so good and tasted even better. I really think this is the best tsukemen i've had in LA and possible ever. I am looking forward to heading here many times in the near future. Such a great place. Equally, the staff is very friendly and helpful. This place is a gem!
